Wooden arch
Description
Wooden arch within the Bishop’s Palace in Hereford.
Recreating the past requires a lot of detective work. Little evidence has survived of the kind of frame that supported the roof of the hall at Rhosyr. The best surviving example is concealed within the ceiling of the Bishop’s Palace in Hereford. This was built in around 1180 and is the basis of the frame inside Llys Llywelyn at St Fagans National Museum of History.
