Letter written to Thomas Benbow Phillips by Christopher James of James & Co of Rio Grande do Sul, dated 21 May 1868.
Christopher James thanked Thomas Benbow Phillips for the two lots of butter sent on 13 and 18 May, and informed him that he did not require any more for a few days, beause he thought the man was sending inferior quality butter. Christopher James also inquired whether Thomas Benbow Phillips had written to the Consul re registering his daughter, Winifred; if not, Christopher James would do so. He also inquired if Thomas Benbow Phillips had been late registering his own marriage at the Consul, and whether or not his other children had been registered there.
