Letter written to Thomas Benbow Phillips at Pelotas by Christopher James at Rio Grande do Sul, dated 4 June 1868.
The butter had arrived safely the previous day on the “Rio Grandense”, and the box would be returned by the same steamer. There would be some newspapers inside.
