Description
Letter written to Thomas Benbow Phillips at Rio Aegro by Stuart Barnes at 72, Calle Reconquista, Buenos Ayres, dated 22 February 1873
Stuart Barnes reported that one of Messers Harris Bros was leaving for Patagones and hoped that he would read this letter before the steamer left. When he reached Patagones, Stuart Barnes requested that Thomas Benbow Phillips would have a good look around as regards business, lumber, provisions, groceries, oil, tobacco and other things, including salt. Stuart Barnes was thinking of going there on his next trip and reiterated that he hoped Thomas Benbow Phillips would ensure everything went smoothly and that everthing was well between him and Captain Evans. He requested a reply as soon as Thomas Benbow Phillips could comply, and wished him a prosperous voyage.
