Cheque No R25 from The New London & Brazilian Bank Limited, stamped Rio Grande do Sul (in green), for the sum of £187-12-0, dated 30 January 1874, stating that:

Ninety days after Sight pay this Third of Exchange/First and Second of the same tenor and date being unpaid to the order/of Joseph Gibson Esq the sum of/One hundred and eighty seven pounds twelve shillings sterling/value received of T B Phillips Esq @ Exge of 26d/ for the New London & Brazilian Bank Limited/London/ James Walley (Manager)/ John Cain (Accountant)
