Letter written to Mrs Susannah Phillips by Thomas Benbow Phillips at Rio Grande, dated 11 March, 1875

Thomas Benbow Phillips apologised for not writing earlier, because he had been so very busy in the shop from morning till night, and his business seemed to be prospering. However, he was always making enquiries about her and that news was always favourable. All the family were well apart from the baby, who was teething. Mrs McCloud had not written due to ill health. Mrs Phillips would be welcomed when she decided to visit.
