Jacket made by Daniel Owen, 1891

Description

This jacket was made by Daniel Owen in 1891 on the occasion of the wedding of Daniel Hughes and Annie Edwards. Miss Edwards was the daughter of Daniel Owen's friends. The jacket is made of black twill woven wool fabric, and is lined with satin, black wool and brown cotton. The sleeves are lined with twill woven cloth and brown striped cotton. The edges of the jacket are trimmed with black horsehair braid.
