Description
This photograph shows the musician Mrs Nesta Wyn Evans (in the centre) with members of her children's choir Côr Plant y Bont, from Bridgend, Glamorganshire, at the National Eisteddfod in Fishguard in 1936, where they won a second prize. She was the wife of Rev. William Evans, the poet and broadcaster, who later became the Archdruid of Wales (1947-50). He was the minister at the English Congregational Church in Bridgend, and she played a substantial role in the musical and cultural activities of the chapel as well as in its pastoral life.
