Description

This letter was sent to W. H. Owen from Callao by Henry Jones, Captain of the 'Pontiac', 24 October 1863. Captain Jones regrets to inform his employer that an unfortunate affair happened on board the ship four days after leaving Callao. On 13 October a Greek member of the crew stabbed two of the men.
