Description

The artist would have drawn this view from the west bank of the Rhondda, William Edwards' bridge in the background. Gelli Wastad House, owned by Griffiths Family (builders of Machine bridge) can be seen on the left, with The New Inn, home of Thomas Williams (Gwilym Morgannwg), a local poet and friend of Iolo Morganwg, on the right.
