Description

Photographed by Geoff Charles. The Welsh weekly newspaper 'Y Cymro' (The Welshman) was first launched in Dolgellau in 1920 by William Evans. The last issue was published in September 1931. The newspaper was subsequently bought by Rowland Thomas and was relaunched in a very different format in December 1932. This image shows the front page of that first issue.
