Title supplied by cataloguer. Possible self portrait. Signed and dated 'Kyffin 44' in pencil / 'J.K. Williams' in ink recto. K.W. was a student at the Slade between 1941 - 1944 (Meredith, David 'Kyffin Williams, Bro a Bywyd / His Life, His Land' 2007 p. 46) Drawn on thin paper / tracing paper. Early dated drawing, the earliest being, works on paper 1158 dated 1938. Taped to acidic mount, pin holes, creasing / discolouration; treated and isolated from mount, Nov 2009.
