Born in Patchway, Bristol, Lyn's father brought the family to live in Mynyddbach (3 miles from Caldicot) to be closer to his transport company. After leaving school, Lyn, worked on her father's 20 acre smallholding managing a flock of sheep and a small herd of Dexter cattle. After marrying, Lyn and her husband moved to Caldicot where she has brought up her family. Lyn is a member of Caldicot Writers and the Book club, both of which meet in the Library.
