Description

Andy Hallett, and his stepson Andy Wilson, talk us through autumn 2017. They describe harvest, production and product, as Welsh cider producers at their peak in October 2017.

Andy Hallett is the proprietor of Hallets Real Cider. Founded in 2008, Hallets Real Cider produces cider and perry and is located at Blaengawney Farm at Hafod Yr Ynys, Caerphilly, NP11 5AY. Their produce has won numerous awards including BBC Radio 4 Food and Farming award for Best Drinks Producer in the UK 2016.

This digital story was created for ‘The Heritage of Orchards and Cider Making in Wales’, a two year HLF funded project in partnership with The George Ewart Evans Centre For Storytelling at The University of South Wales and The Welsh Cider and Perry Society.
