Born in Cardiff, Bernard and his wife have lived Oxfordshire and Somerset before settling in the Caldicot area nearly forty years ago. In the interview he recalls his first impressions of Caldicot and his associations with the Library over the years. He is one of the people that has been carrying out the interviews for the Caldicot Intergenerational Oral History and uploading the recordings to People's Collection Wales.
