Description

T. C. Jones informs Mrs Anne Jones, wife of the Rev. Michael D. Jones, that he has been to Liverpool, where he met 'Mr Jones' [Michael D. Jones] prior to his departure for the United States. The ship left the landing stage at 11:20.

Michael D. Jones travelled to the United States in 1870 to raise money for Bala Independent College and to promote the Patagonian Settlement.

The letterhead features a colour print of Gwrych Castle, near Abergele. Gwrych Castle was built in 1819 by Lloyd Hesketh Bamford-Hesketh.
