Born 1897. Son of Elizabeth Owen, of Braich y Saint, Criccieth, Carnarvonshire, and the late David Owen. In the 1911 census he is a scholar, living with his brothers and sisters at Pen y Bryn farm Criccieth.
His name is on the boards at Criccieth and also on the Pentrefelin memorial as this family moved back and forth between the two farms .
This memorial is at Capel Tabor cemetery in Pentrefelin and was made by well known craftsman Owen Jones of Criccieth who also carved the memorial cross in the village.
