Toy plates from the Glamorgan Pottery, Swansea, c. 1814-39
Description
These plates are part of a set of four toy plates made by Baker, Bevan & Irwin c. 1814-39. The rims are moulded with festoons and the centres are printed with groups of children playing in black, painted over in colours. The two plates shown here feature verses.
