Three women, all with Welsh hats and goffered caps and long aprons with mountains behind.
(1) Woman with short bedgown with collar
(2) Woman probably wearing a short bedgown with large collar
(3) Woman with open fronted gown or jacket
Medium: steel engraving
Size: 12.7 x 13 cms.

Advert in newspaper: W.L Sharp, Visiter [sic] Office, Rhyl. Bookseller, Publisher, Lithographer, Printer and Stationer. Daguerreotype illustrated note and letter paper etc. The following Daguerreotype Portraits and Castles, taken by Mr Sharp, engraved on steel - a Group of Females, in National Costume visiting Bangor Market, from 2d. each and upwards. Regular adverts in the North Wales newspaper between 1850 and 1855

Note: The title suggests that this was based on an early photograph.
