Chair made by Captain J. E. T. Willes, prisoner of war in Bavaria, 1944

Description

This chair was made by Captain J. E. T. Willes of the Royal Welch Fusiliers in OFLAG VLB, Bavaria, from the battledress he was wearing when captured in 1940. The chair was later returned to him by American soldiers who found it in the abandoned camp.
