Description
Vera recalls her childhood in the valley including the change from gas to electricity, trips to Barry Island, picking winberries and sliding down the mountain on cardboard.

This and other audio clips were collected as part of the Crumlin Navigation Oral History Project commemorating fifty years since the colliery closed on 16th September 1967, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
