Painting of the ship 'Louisa' which sailed from Aberaeron harbour
Description
The ship 'Louisa' was built at Prince Edward Island in 1851, weighed 781 net registered tons, and was owned by J. Thomas of Cardiff.
In 1883 she was commanded by Joseph Rees (1839-1911), the youngest of 10 children of David and Mary Rees of Aberaeron Ganol. When Joseph Rees died he left an estate of £1,772 net.
