The Cwmdu Show was postponed from the usual June date, due to a long period of heavy rain. It was held on 7 July, a sunny hot day, and the £750 raised was donated to the Red Cross Nurses working in the Community, in memory of Margaret Jenkins, who died on April 7 aged 72. As well as the usual stalls, games and competitions, there was a display of two-wheeled vehicles.
