Description
The clockmaker Evan Davies (1801-88) of Pontypridd, was also known as the archdruid Ieuan Myfyr, or Myfyr Morgannwg. From about 1853 he began holding druidic ceremonies on the Rocking Stone, near Pontypridd. Two of his sons, Ivor A. Davies and Octavius Davies, were also clockmakers, while his son Taliesin was a cabinet maker.
