An 0-4-2T of 36" (914mm) gauge for operation over 26' (7.8m) curves, with narrow tires for flanged rails. The drawing's object is to illustrate a lever based approach to forcing the idler axle to take a near radial position on such extraordinarily tight curves. Otherwise a very conventional locomotive of the mid-century. The narrow gauge suggests quarry or industrial operation.
