A local Asian band perform at a rainy Maindee festival in the 1990s. Maindee festival started in 1997 by an idea that Sue Bidmead had when she was working at Community House as community development worker. Andy O'Rourke and Sally-Anne Evans worked together to create the festival parade. They worked in collaboration with local schools and the local community.
