"They held meetings in 1927 to commemorate the half century of the chapel. ...........................This was a very special year, owing to having meetings as well to celebrate the opening Old Carmel after its restoration. "The following year as well, namely 1928, was itself a special year in the history of Carmel, because in the month of May, they gave a call to the Rev. Llywelyn C.Huws,B.A., from Bethlehem,Cardiff, to come as their shepherd. He replied positively in the month of July. They held the induction meetings on the Wednesday evening and the Thursday, October 24/25th ....." (p48)
