A gemstone from a Roman ring found at the Roman fort in Brecon Gaer and held in the collections at Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales. Roman boys would read and memorise lines from Greek epic poetry and literature. The Odyssey was a favourite of many boys. This tells the story of Odysseus' voyage home from the Trojan War.
