Description

In an undated letter to George Powell of Nanteos, the artist Simeon Solomon writes as follows: 'This is merely a line to ask you whether you would like the ruined temple background to your "Love" or the sea and sky that we spoke of elsewhere - will you kindly let me have a line as it is being begun.' This work is part of the George Powell of Nanteos Bequest given to the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1882
