Description

Mary Jones, a native of Llanfihangel-y-Pennant, emigrated to Australia c. 1855. This 'emigration song' entitled 'Hiraeth am fy ngwlad' ('Longing for my Country') is attributed to Mary Jones and was printed after her death. The card states that she died in Ballarat, Australia, on 16 June 1861.
