Description

Colour illustration of Hen Castell. The building is believed to be either an 18th century house for Penrhyn estate workers or a folly built as part of late 18th century landscape improvement carried out by Richard Pennant, first Baron Penrhyn. Records show that the house was lived in until the 1940s; it is now ruined.
