David Richards (1891-1917) Pt 16642,13th Batt. Royal Welsh Fusilliers. David born10/10/1891 son of Henry and Anne(Nancy) Richards, lived at Alltmawr, Aberbanc.He was training to become a priest at St. Michael's Theological College before enlisting at Bronwydd. He was at the Somme and Mametz woods. David was badly wounded in his leg at Ypres 1/07/1917 and died later that day at the casualty clearing station at Proven, aged 26. He is buried at Mendinghem Military Cemetery,Belgium. David is commemorated on the Coed y Bryn School memorial and inside Llanfair Orllwyn church.
