Description

7584 Pte. Charles Paine Thomas was born in Usk and was serving as part-time soldier with G (Usk) Company of the 4th Volunteer Battalion South Wales Borderers when he volunteered for full time service in South Africa. This watch was presented to him when he returned home safely by a grateful community.
