Honey bee with full pollen baskets
Description
Honey bee with full pollen baskets. Have you ever seen a bee with big yellow knees? When a bee gets covered in pollen not all of it rubs off on other flowers, some of it stays stuck to the bee's body. The bee then grooms itself, brushing its body with its legs and collecting the pollen in special areas on its legs called 'pollen baskets'. It then takes the pollen home to the hive for the other bees to eat!
