A photo of the children of Cwmystwyth Board School in 1902-1903. The teacher on the left is Dafydd Jones, Patagonia known as 'Jones Pat'. The school building had originally been built as a chapel but became the Board School in 1871 when the new chapel was built in the centre of the village. The building closed as a school in 1904 when the new village school was built next to the 1870 chapel.
