Jonathan Bruns (on left) from the USA was a highly valued member of the Club in 1999-2000 Season and later represented Norway in the 2004 European Championship and the 2007 Rugby World Cup Qualifiers. The photograph was taken before a match against Finland in Beauvais, France.
He contributed a fascinating and entertaining chapter entitled “Brunzie – An Outsider’s View” to the book “Clwb Rygbi Dinbych – 40 Years of Rugby” published in July 2018, where he writes,
“My career with the national team lasted only a few short years, culminating with a huge 19-18 win over Israel in Tel Aviv. The pace and physicality of the game at that level became too much for me so I bowed out on that massive win.”
