President’s XV v Chairman’s XV Charity Match in aid of the Clwyd Hospitals Body Scanner Appeal, May 1985

The President’s XV were players from the Dinbych Club whilst the Chairman’s XV were drawn from various Clubs in North Wales, namely Ruthin, Wrexham, Harlech and Mold.
Included in the Chairman’s XV was George Jones (ninth from the right in the back row), formerly of Denbigh Grammar and High School who became the first Denbigh pupil to represent Wales at schoolboy level.
The score was 29-0 to the Chairman's XV.
