Arrive at Castell Carndochan prepared for weather conditions. The walk up to the site where the remains of this mediaeval castle is situated is a strenuous one. Take a walk around the remaining walls and rubble of the site. Appreciate the mass of rubble indicating the large walls, the incorporation of natural boulders and the semi-circle feature in the defensive wall. Additionally the square shape in the middle with thick walls could indicate the remains of a defensive tower.
