About

The CC4 Museum of Welsh Cricket is situated in the National Cricket Centre at The SSE SWALEC - the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club - who are Wales' only professional cricket club. Opened in 2012, the Museum has been established to record, interpret and illustrate the history of cricket as played in Wales from the very beginning of the game in the 1700s to the modern era. It encompasses all aspects of cricket from the professional game to cricket as played by local clubs at the grassroots community level. The Museum holds a wide range of objects including cricket equipment, match records, trophies, film and photographs that tell the story of the development of cricket at the local and national level. Drawing on its collections the Museum aims to provide an attractive, accessible and informative facility that celebrates cricket in Wales, contributes to learning and promotes cricket to all sections of the public. Our aim is to be recognised as the best specialist sports museum in Wales with visitors and researchers able to access the Museum’s collection both on site and online.
