St. David's Church Neath

St. David's Church, Neath is one of six churches that make up The Rectorial Benefice of Neath. Built in the Victorian Gothic or "First Pointed" style, in 1866 by the architect, John Norton. It is a fine example of blue and red brick decoration prevalent at the time. The Vaughan Tower houses the Neath War Memorial which consists of the clock and bells, recently restored with the aid of a Cadw's Grants to War Memorial Scheme. The tower its self has also recently undergone major restoration work with the help of grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund, WREN and Cadw.
