Photographs taken after a visit ti the quarries of Esgairfoeleirin, Pantperthog, Machynlleth. Very remote and bleak, high up on the mountain side of the Darren range, faching south-west, catching all the gales and storms from the Irish sea. Closed since the 1880's there is still no actual road up to the quarries from the valley below.
