Arthur Morgan

This interviewee has a child's memory of seeing television for the first time and believing that characters lived inside the television set. He also remembers the wonder of seeing London as the Coronation was broadcast and his pride at being a part of something so important. Pride was also the main feeling whilst watching Price Charles' Investiture though he was conscious, because of television, of some people's opposition to the event. He discusses the big effect of seeing broadcasts of the Aberfan disaster and the fact that television brought such events into the home. He also refers to his contempt for the Coal Board following what happened in Aberfan, and on a more positive note the support of the people of the Carmarthen area for the people of Aberfan.
