Malcolm Thomas

This guest watched the Coronation in a small, packed room, and remembers that there were people outside on the street trying to get a glimpse of the proceedings. He remembers hearing the news about Aberfan on the radio, but that seeing the images on television was worse still. He talks of rugby in the 70s and trips to watch the games deploring the fact that the timings of games by now have been changed to correspond with the requirements of television. He discusses the Investiture, the Prince's attempt to learn Welsh and the importance of the Welsh language to him as a learner. He remembers Scargill's visit to Treorchy during the Miners' Strike.
