Roy Bergiers

Rugby is this interviewee's main interest, and he has played for his country. He discusses his career and the pleasure he gets from the fact that that career has been recorded in television broadcasts. He remembers hearing of the Aberfan disaster when he was on a rugby tour with Ray Gravell and the effect the news had on the young boys on that tour. As he remembers the Investiture he says he was aware of the protests against the event and he also speaks of the Prince's visit to Carmarthen and receiving stamps to commemorate the investiture. He comments on the role of television on people's behaviour whilst discussing the Miners' Strike.
