He believes the people of Aberfan were betrayed by the Labour Party. He discusses Rugby and his brother's contribution playing for his country in the 70s, and how he would train at the colliery in Tylorstown and the excitement locally before a game. The drama of the night of the 97 Referendum results is discussed. Whilst discussing the Miners' Strike he alleges that television was not unbiased; he talks of the hardship for families, how the strike politicised people and allowed women to come to the fore. The hatred towards the police and Margaret Thatcher is also discussed.
