In this interview the Rhondda, before and after closing the coal mines, is discussed. Speaking of watching broadcasts concerning the Miners' Strike he remembers especially the police attacks on the strikers. Aberfan is also discussed and the loss of a child. He talks of broadcasting rugby in the 1970s and the positive effect of it, especially in allowing people who could not go to the matches to share in the success.
