This guest's earliest memory of television is watchhing the children's programme Bill and Ben. Speaking of Aberfan he discusses the worth of television at such times - allowing people to see exactly what has happened and to sympathise. He talks about the Miners' Strike - the effect of previous strikes on the community, what led to the 84/85 strike, the hardship during the strike, the support of the media, the morning they returned to work at the pit in Maerdy and the repurcussions of the strike on the community.
