Aberfan had a great impact as he lives in a coal mining area himself, he speaks about disasters in the Wrexham area. Remembers seeing people on television going to Aberfan to help and feeling that people needed to know what had happened. He felt that the labour unions had been over-criticised during the Miners' Strike, but thinks that families suffer most during a strike.
