The interviewee says he remembers only one family who owned a television in 1953, and he went there to watch the Cup Final. He did not start watching television seriously until the 70s, S4C has changed television habits more than anything. Did not see Aberfan on television at all, only heard about it on the radio. But he says the power of television is stronger than radio. The interviewee thinks that television gives more attention to every party in an election and that broadcasting from the Assembly is important. He remembers Owen Edwards on the night of the launch of S4C, and thinks there is a need for a separate channel for children and that a subtitling service is important for non-Welsh speakers.
