The interviewee got a television at home when she was ten years old, before then watched children's programmes in her aunt and uncle's house. She watched more as she raised her own children, difficult to follow series while you are working. S4C very important to her mother, so began watching it because of that. She heard of Tryweryn on the radio, but everyone in the community was discussing it and she saw images of the village on television. She does not remember much protesting. She heard of Aberfan on the radio first too, remembers seeing people helping on television. An event which touched everybody. She saw a part of the Investiture procession in Caernarfon, there was a big party on the street and a big crowd watching the ceremony on television afterwards. She says that most people were proud that the ceremony was happening in Caernarfon. She remembers worries about protests in the previous months, she would see the town on television often. As a Welshwoman she was pleased it was in Caernarfon, it put the town on the map and drew visitors there.
